BMW Night

Hillside's first BMW Night was held on Friday, August 4, 2000 at Hago Harrington's in Stoneham, MA, followed by whist at Hillside House. Thanks to all whom attended, and to all of those whom did not, you missed a great time.

The first group to tee off was the awesome foursome of Tom Williams, Mike Connolly, Steve Morrison, and Narge Sparages. The masterful team managed to secure an amazing five holes-in-one - the most of any foursome, although they still managed to place last with a score of 189!

The second foursome was made up of Anne Doherty, Mark Gilman from DU, Michelle (Marchese) Corrado, and John Leone. Although they (mainly Michelle) complained about the slow pace of the team in front of them, they managed to hold up play themselves. Their combined score was a 181. Great showing.

The next team was made up of Hillside's newest newly weds, Tiffany (Lee) and Rich Goguen. They technically scored the lowest team score with an 89, however, golf course management decided to double their score to 178, to make up for two team players. Sorry guys.

The final foursome was made up of Dan Fuchs, Jennifer Fuchs, Joanne (Sparco) and Frank Calandra. Their patience and perseverance paid off, as their team was victorious, with a team score of 174! Great job. However, they almost forfeited the match, as their team scores were not properly written down on the score card, and the golf course management had to add all of the scores up at work!

As for individual scores, the low score was DU's Mark. He pared with a score of 40. The most holes in one was a tie-Mike Connolly, Steve Morrison, and Michelle Corrado each had two.

The night continued at Hillside House for a whist tournament. Jim Coate, Costa Zahos, Krishna Butaney, and Carolyn (Koehler) Goldy joined the reunion. Competition remained strong with the groups as many shouts were heard throughout the night.
